Terms of use
The terms for using the magazine and its Studio tools: general information rather than advice, estimates only, affiliate links, copyright and Dutch law.
Last updated 14 Oct 2026
These terms apply to everyone who reads the site or uses its tools. By using the site you accept them, so if you don't agree with them, please don't use it.
General information, not advice
Articles, guides and checklists are written to help people who make apps think through their options. They are general information. They are not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and they can't take your own situation into account. Store rules, fees, platform requirements and laws change, often with little notice, so check the current version with Apple, Google or the authority concerned before you rely on a figure for a decision that matters. For contracts, tax, privacy compliance and similar questions, talk to a qualified professional.
We work hard to get things right, but we can't promise that every page is complete, accurate and current at the moment you read it.
The Studio tools
The calculators and references in the Studio give estimates only. They rest on assumptions, such as typical hours per feature or a store's published commission rates, and those assumptions may not match your project or the rules in force on the day you use them. Real quotes, invoices and payouts will differ. Treat a result as a starting point for a conversation with your team, your client or your accountant, never as a price or a promise.
Affiliate links and partner banners
Some links on the site are affiliate links, including links to Amazon and to advertisers in the CJ network, and some pages show partner banners. If you buy something after following one, we may earn a commission. The purchase is an agreement between you and the seller: the seller's terms apply, and the seller handles delivery, returns, warranties and support. We don't sell anything ourselves and can't answer for a seller's products, prices or service. How we choose what to recommend is explained on the About page.
Copyright
The text, photographs, illustrations, graphics and tool code on the site are protected by copyright. They belong to the magazine's editors or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links and to quote short passages, with a clear credit and a link to the article. Copying whole articles or images, republishing them elsewhere or feeding them into automated systems needs our written permission, which you can ask for through the contact page.
Names of companies, products and platforms mentioned on the site belong to their owners and appear only to identify them.
External links
Articles link to outside sources such as developer documentation, standards bodies and conference sites. We choose them with care, but we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, their availability or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement.
Fair use of the site
Don't try to break into the site, overload it, scrape it at a rate that slows it down, or use the contact form for spam or anything unlawful. We may block access that does any of these.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage that results from using the site, its tools or the information on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date on this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless consumer law gives you the right to bring a case before the courts where you live. Questions about these terms are welcome through the contact page.
